The Belgian Foreign Minister reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Armenia

09 July, 2026

On July 9, during a meeting with ambassadors of Francophone countries accredited to Brussels, Armenia's Ambassador Tigran Balayan held a bilateral meeting with Belgium's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxime Prévot.

During the meeting, Ambassador Balayan emphasized the unprecedented progress achieved in all areas of bilateral cooperation in recent years, underscoring the need to elevate cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

Minister Prévot reaffirmed Belgium's readiness to further expand comprehensive cooperation with Armenia and to take the necessary steps toward that end.

The two sides also stressed the importance of implementing the provisions of the Belgian Federal Government's coalition agreement, as well as the two resolutions unanimously adopted by the Federal Parliament concerning the expansion of cooperation with Armenia.
