Memorandums of Understanding signed between Development Fund of Armenia and several Belgian organizations

On July 8 Memorandums of Understanding were signed between Development Fund of Armenia (DFA), on one side, and Wallonia Export and Investment Agency (AWEX), Wallonia Enterprises Union (UWE) and Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brussels (BECI), on the other side, at an event dedicated to the development of business ties between Armenia and Belgium that took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Brussels.

The MoUs were signed by Executive Director of the DFA Arman Khachatryan, from the Armenian side, and Executive Director of AWEX Pascale Delcomminette, Executive Director of UWE Vincent Reuter and International Business Development Manager of BECI Sabine Soetens, from the Belgian side.

In his speech the Ambassador of Armenia to Belgium Tatoul Markarian noted that the strengthening and enhancement of cooperation between the specialized agencies and unions of trade and investment promotion of Armenia and Belgium will undoubtedly have positive impact on the increased efficiency of Armenian-Belgian cooperation, as well as the interaction between the business circles and the increase of mutual awareness.

Executive Director of DFA Arman Khachatryan mentioned that the cooperation will provide additional opportunities for the sides to implement joint projects aimed at the promotion of trade and investments, development of industrial, trade and technological cooperation.

Preparatory works for the event were carried out by the Embassy of Armenia to Belgium, Trade Representative of Armenia to Belgium and Development Fund of Armenia. Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Sergei Avetisyan was present at the signing ceremony.
