Ambassador of Armenia in Belgium was handed over a letter initiating direct air communication between Brussels and Yerevan

On September 13 Ambassador of Armenia to Belgium Tatoul Markarian had a meeting with Jean-Artur Regibeau, Director-General for Multilateral and Globalization issues of the Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Kingdom of Belgium. A number of issues pertaining to the expansion of Armenian-Belgian cooperation were discussed in the course of meeting.

The interlocutors touched upon the the opening of direct Brussels-Yerevan-Brussels flight. Jean-Artur Regibeau handed to Ambassador Markarian the application of the Air transport authority of Belgium designating Brussels Airlines as the carrier of the flight.

The high ranking Belgian diplomat expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador for the initiative to open the flight, as well as the intensive activities carried out with Belgian governmental bodies and the Brussels Airlines company.

Agreement was reached to start the flight this year, and to increase the frequency of flights according to necessity
