Round table discussion on "Geopolitical Developments in the South Caucasus: Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh/Artsakh"

On March 25, at the initiative of the European-Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy, a round table discussion entitled "Geopolitical Developments in the South Caucasus: Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh/Artsakh" was held in the Belgian Senate. The event was attended by Mark Demesmaeker, Belgian Senator, Head of the Inter-Parliamentary Union with Armenia and Georgia, Els Van Hoof, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Belgian Federal Parliament, other Belgian politicians and public figures, representatives of the Armenian community of Belgium, as well as representatives of other minorities.

Vardan Sargsyan, the Deputy Head of the Mission of Armenia to the EU, also participated in the event and in his opening speech presented the geopolitical developments in the region, the challenges that Armenia is facing in protecting its sovereignty, security and democracy, as well as the efforts made by the government to address the existing issues. The agenda related to the deepening of Armenia-EU partnership was also briefly presented.
