Alen Simonyan meets with President of Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg

The delegation led by the NA President Alen Simonyan being on an official visit in Luxembourg was in the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg met with the President Claude Wiseler. Underscoring the role of the parliamentary diplomacy in the dynamic development of high level political dialogue between Armenia and Luxembourg, the interlocutors highlighted its further deepening in terms of giving a new momentum to strong bilateral political relations.

Special reference was made to a number of issues regarding the RA-EU Partnership. Alen Simonyan emphasized the official launch of the visa liberalisation dialogue and welcomed the last decision of the EU Council to extend the mandate of the civil mission in Armenia for another 2 years.

In his turn Claude Wiseler noted that Luxembourg supports the European and democratic aspirations of Armenia and is ready to contribute to that path.

During the meeting, the peace treaty, regional developments, and other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
