Ambassador Balayan's meetings in Luxembourg

On December 8, Ambassador Tigran Balayan had separate meetings with Claude Wiseler, newly elected President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg and Gusti Graas, Chairman of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Parliament, and the Deputy Mayor of Bitemburg.

Congratulating Claude Wiseler on his election as the head of the Parliament of friendly Luxembourg, Ambassador Balayan handed him a congratulatory letter from Alen Simonyan, President of the National Assembly of Armenia.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of relations between Armenia and Luxembourg, and it was noted that the establishment of a permanent diplomatic representation of Armenia will give a new impetus to mutual relations.

Ambassador Balayan presented to the interlocutors the consequences of the ethnic cleansing carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh and the importance of holding accountable for it, in terms of preventing new aggressions by Azerbaijan and ensuring the right of return of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Ambassador of Armenia informed his partners in detail about the "Crossroads of Peace" project, the works being carried out in the direction of its implementation and establishment of lasting peace in the Caucasus.

During the meetings, opportunities to promote interparliamentary and decentralized cooperation were discussed.

On the same day, Tigran Balayan had a meeting with Jean-Marie Halsdorff, mayor of Petange. The interlocutors delved into the details of cooperation between Dilijan and Petange and joint events.
